WHAT IS
THE FINISH STRONG SPORTS RUNNING CLUB?
Finish Strong Sports Running Club is a
group of people interested in recreational
and competitive running, walking, triathlons, and fitness
in general. The primary purpose of the club is to promote
the use of long-distance running and walking as the foundation
of a healthy, active lifestyle. In addition to getting you
in shape, Finish Strong Sports Running Club is a great way
to meet new fitness oriented friends. Monthly social events
including dinners, breakfasts, and happy hours are planned.
WHERE IS THE FINISH STRONG SPORTS
RUNNING CLUB?
Since members reside all over Houston,
the club will meet for casual and training runs at Terry Hershey
park and Memorial Park on a weekly basis.
WHO ARE THE MEMBERS?
All persons are welcome. . Finish
Strong Sports Running Club members have diverse backgrounds
and various athletic abilities. Members range from those running
100 miles a week; to walkers who walk 30 minutes, three times
a week. Beginners are more than welcome. The only requirement
is that you want to get in or stay in shape, and enjoy the
company of others.
WHAT DOES FINISH STRONG SPORTS RUNNING
CLUB DO?
WE RUN, WALK, AND HAVE FUN. We get
together and talk about running and walking. We have parties.
There are opportunities to run, walk and compete in local
road races together. We have a very competitive racing team,
however all members are encouraged to join regardless of your
level. Most important, we support members of ALL ability levels
to achieve their goals.
RACE MANAGEMENT. We’re in
the process of hosting several annual road races on the west
side of town to benefit local charities. One is scheduled
for October 2004. Come join us and make this a successful
event.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?

and $30 for a family. Membership applications can be filled
out and mailed to the store.
